On Saturday 6th SJune 2015 we held our third specialist cycling section.  Here are the bikes and frames that were offered for sale.

    54cm frame, 24 speed

  2. Ladies Peugeot 21″ 18-Speed STI Mountain Bike: ‘Kashmir’ Green.

    Thun gear case, SHIMANO Altus gears, HLE Alloy body, Made in France. Conforms to BS 6102.
    Includes integral bike lock (though with removable mountings for when not in use) and bike stand.
    Lovely to ride; brakes and tyres in good working order and chain recently oiled. Back gear lever needs slight repair but otherwise VGC.

  4. PARKPRE Mountain Bike:3×7 gears-fitted with Karrimor clip-on front bag which contains,spare tube,repair kit,pair hand grips and manual for Echo-3 cycle computer.also Gel Saddle,pump.bottle carrier and two spare wheels fitted with road tyres.There is slight rust showing on handlebars.

  5. Specialized Vita Comp 2013.
    Women’s flat bar road bike. Weighs approx 10kg. Medium frame.
    Aluminium frame with carbon/aluminium fork.
    SRAM drivetrain and crankset, 48/34.
    Currently fitted with ‘Infinity’ 700×32 armadillo tyres.
    Also comes with the original Specialized Espoir Sport 700x28c tyres.
    Very good condition.

  6. Mountain bike, Cougar model 21 inch frame made by Emmelle. 15 speed. 26 inch wheels. One owner from new; original owner’s manual. Alloy hubs; alloy cantilever brakes; 10 inch seat pillar. Metallic silver and white.

  8. Kids Trek bike – hardly used. Would suit 4-6 year old. No stabilisers. Great condition and ready to ride!

  9. Kids Carrera mountain bike 16″ – great condition – hardly a scratch – front suspension – SRAM equipment. Ready to ride!

  10. Kids Isla Bike – hardly used – great condition – Benin 24 model. Would suit up to 11/12 years old. Ready to ride!

  11. Mens Trek 6000 Mountain bike -performance aluminium frame. Great condition, hardly a scratch. Quick release wheels, saddle. Shimano equipment and SPD pedals. Recently added new tyres and tubes.

  12. Illness forces the sale of my full size Ridgeback. It is a utility bike which is at home on both road and cross-country. 21 Shimano gears. Some small scrapes but otherwise in good condition, since it has only been lightly used

  13. Raleigh Gemini 18 speed Ladies Bike with 531 19″ frame. A hand built mountain-lite light weight. Would be called a hybrid today. 700C wheels with Weimann alloy rims and Shimano Exage hubs. Cantilever Dia Compe brakes, Laprade alloy seat post.

    • Shimano Biopace triple chain rings – elliptical to even out the torque. Shimano Exage front derailleur and long cage rear derailleur.

  15. Raleigh Roadster Prima girl’s bicycle with alloy rack. 24″ wheels, 5 gears, brake blocks & gear teeth have virtually no wear. Functional and ready to ride. Paintwork has some surface rust.

  16. Powabyke suitable for restoration or spares. New battery required.

    Editors note: Probably has 3 x 7 dérailleur gears.

    Generally in nice clean condition, rides well. some rust pitting on the chrome

  18. Timco W5 24″ wheel Electric Bicycle – very little use and in very good condition. Removable and lockable battery pack with standard sealed batteries. Brakes and tyres have little wear. Working headlamp and horn. With front basket and rear helmet box. Front fork and seat suspension. Mudguards and skirt guard.

  19. Union Dutch Ladies bike. 3 speed gears, Drum brakes front and rear. Stainless steel rims. Tyre dynamo to front and rear lights. Rear rack. Rear wheel lock with key. 20 years old. Only ridden for first five years in The Netherlands. Dry stored for 15 years.

    Recent maintenance: Gear cable housing replaced. Chain cover removed, chain cleaned and oiled. Spokes tensioned and wheels trued.

    Great for shopping or fitting a child seat. First gear will get you up the hills in Alresford.

  20. Dawes Windsor touring bike with 24 inch frame. Weinmann Type 730 Brakes & Levers front and rear. 10 Speed SR Suntour VX Levers and gearing. Professional Brown Suede saddle. Rear Pannier carrier rack. Straight mudguards. Would benefit from new tyres. Not ridden for a while.

  21. Dawes Republic Tioga mountain bike with 26″ hybrid tyres. Been used by a 5’5″ woman rider as a commuter bike / mountain bike. Is in good working order.
    18″ frame size (bottom bracket to seat tube) and 20″ top tube length (handlebars to seat tube).
    3 x 7 gears. Shimano C101 front derailleur, SRAM X-7 rear derailleur
    SRAM 7 shifters
    Tektro V brakes
    Also comes with a Kryptonite Kryptolok lock with bracket, 2 keys and mudguards.

  23. Giant GSR 400 hardtail mountain bike 20″ steel frame. Ready to ride. New headset (steering bearing), wheel hubs greased with new ball bearings and cones where required. Blackburn Mountain rack. Used for several years along the Ridgeway in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. Frame is true with scratches but not dents. Currently set up for a 5′ 11″ rider will go down a few sizes.

  24. Mobecane Nomad road bike with blue lugless 2040 Inexternal Cadre Allege steel frame.
    62cm 24.25″ CTC seat tube and 56cm 22″ top tube.
    Will suit people 5’10” and above. The seat post will rise another 4″.
    Many original Mobecane and Sachs Huret components. Modern Quadro 27″ wheels.
    Recently fitted: Head set, bottom bracket spindle and ball bearings, front hub spindle and cones, gear cables, new tyres.
    Passed a 25 mile test ride through hills between Alresford and Kings Worthy today.

    • Motobecane chromed steel handlebar with Mobecane moulded grips.
      Weimann brake levers with extensions.
      Sachs Huret shifters mounted on stem because it would be a long reach to the down tube.

    • Stronglight double chain set with new spindle and ball bearings.
      Mobecane pedals.
      Sachs Huret Derailleurs.
      5 speed freewheel. Space to fit 7 speed freewheel.
      New chain suitable for 7 speed freewheel.

  25. Claud Butler – Criterium – Aluminium 7005 Alloy Frame – Entry level road bike
    Steel front fork with new headset
    The 28mm 700c tyre on the front just fits. Will probably have a pair of matching 25mm tyres by the auction. Rims, Quando hubs, spokes and bearings in good condition.
    Set up for 5′ 11″ rider.
    56cm centre of BB to top of seat tube.
    24″ centre of BB to imaginary horizontal centre of top tube.
    57cm top tube.

    • Shimano Sora Flightdeck shifters (combined brake lever and gear shifter). Will connect to Shimano Flightdeck bike computer
      Tektro brakes
      New Dedra bar tape.

  26. Specialized Myka Sport Aluminium
    Ladies Front Suspension MTB
    Bottom Bracket centre to top of seat post 15″ or 38cm about 22″ old equivalent. Suit 5′ 3″ to 5′ 7″ rider.
    Specializes rims and Fast Trak LK 26×2″ tyres.
    A few scratches and surface rust but otherwise in very good order.
    Set up and ready to ride.

  28. Dawes Giro 300 road bike with 7005-TI aluminium frame – 3 x 8 gears with Shimano Sora Flightdeck shifters, Tektro brakes, 700C wheels with 23mm tyres. In good working order, no dents, a few scratches and chips. Built circa 2005.

    • Shimano Sora Flight deck shifters brake lever flick you on to larger sprockets and chainwheels, thumb levers take you down to smaller ones. These levers will connect to a Shimano Flightdeck cycle computer which is operated from the dimples on the brake hoods.

  29. Trek 7200 front suspension hybrid bike.
    Aluminium frame, Shimano brakes and gears, Bontrager tyres.
    Overhauled, fitted with new bottom bracket and head set.
    Lubricated and set up. Suspension preload adjustment has seized.
    56cm / 22″ traditional frame size equivalent. 17″ centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube or 56cm / 22″.
    Ready to ride.
